About the Cardboard Box City Event
On Friday, October 17, 2008, that night we will create a temporary city at Soldier's Field to raise money and awareness for the organizations that support and house the homeless in Rochester.
How you can help:
- Become a resident of the city and spend the night in cardboard box or tent.
- Collect rent.
- A Grand Prize will be awarded for the most Donations collected.

What, where, and when!

| Arrive/Setup: | Friday - 4:00 pm. to 8:00 pm on Friday |
| Takedown: | Saturday: 6:00 am to 8:00 am |
What to Bring:
- Participants supply their own dwellings -- a box or a tent.
- Dwellings can be anything you can carry in;
you must take it with you when you leave. - Bring a sleeping bag and pillow and card games. No video games.
- The event is rain or shine (the homeless don't have a choice).
What NOT to Bring:
- NO food or beverages may be brought into the event.
If you bring any, they will be considered a donation to Channel One Food Shelf. - No pets
Entertainment & Activites:
- Scavenger Hunt 4:00pm to 8:00 pm
- Sheltered Reality Concert 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- Are you Smarter than Tom Garret Trivia 9:30 to 10:30 pm
- Soup kitchen, Open 5:00 pm to 7:00 am
